i heard that many people take the SAT' s 2 times. the first time they focus strictly on math and try to get a good score and then the second time they only focus on the english part. is this a good idea because i heard that the 2 scores are combined and it'll be like u did really good on ur SAT's. i also think it easier.

  1. I recommend you take it once, and if you like the score then youre set, but if you dont like the score take it again, trying your best each time.

I believe they take the highest of the two composite scores by the way, but maybe different Universities do it differently.

  2. I've never heard of the English score from one test being combined with the math score from another.  Most people do take the SATs 2 or 3 times to get the best possible score they can but as far as I know, you can't take the best scores from multiple tests and combine them.  You just have to use the best overall score.

  3. depends who you are. if you think you would do alot better focusing on the verbal/math part separately, then yea, go for it.

but don't go over board and take it too many times!

  4. Focus on both at once.  Schools will look at the best combined score, not at the best section per each time you take it.  The prep class at school can help get ready.
