i have an SAT prep class test tomorrow and i dont want to seem dumb what are some simple things i should know for the SAT./

  1. You're taking the class to learn, so learn in the class.


  2. Quick facts:

    The SATs have 10 sections but one will not count, so technically there are only 9 sections.

    The 25 min essay is always first and is followed by a random order of Critical Reading, Math and Writing sections.

    The Critical Reading sections start off with Sentence Completions which tests vocab and then 2 or 3 paragraphs that test reading comprehension skills.

    Math consists of mainly multiple choice but one section of math has a subsection of grid in results (grid ins do not have answers to choose from and there is no penalty for getting them wrong. Most questions have a penalty of -1/4 when bubbled in incorrectly)

    The Writing section consists of Identifying Sentence Errors, Improving Sentences and Improving Paragraph questions.
