Question:

SAT scores Math 560 and CR - 770; is this a good thing or bad thing?

I'm wondering if my good CR score will kind of make admissions counselors look the other way concerning my bad math score. (My writing score was 640, but that's not really that important anyway.) I'm going to be an English major, so I figured the math score could kind of be overlooked. The superscore's a 1970, but that math is just pitiful. Is this going to be a problem?

  1. I think you should retake it, and try to do just a little better in math. Some colleges look at the scores separately, and some look at the overall score. If it was me, I'd retake it.

  2. Your math shouldn't be a problem with an English major, colleges will accept it. Your over all score is good enough any college will accept you.

  3. your marks are not bad, but i if i was in your shoes, i would retake it to get a better mark
