SAT scores for college application?

i took the SAT in may, and did pretty well except for the critical reading section

i am planning to take the SAT again in october, and if i focus primarily on the critical reading part and get a higher score on the critical reading, will i be able to send colleges my best scores out of both tests, rather than only allowed to submit the scores of 1 test

for example, i do better on the critical reading on the second SAT than the first, so i send that score, and i do better on the math on the first SAT than the second, so i send that score

it honestly depends on the college. i know for sure the uc's only except scores in one sitting.

but there are other colleges that accept the best scores of multiple sittings
