I got:

critical reading: 460 35%

Math: 540 58%

Writing: 540 65%

Multiple Choice: 53 (score range 20-80)

Essay: 8 (score range 2-12)

So um what's the total? Do you add everything up? If you do I got 1601. Oh! And on zinch.com, what do you add for the verbal and composite? I have no clue what those mean!?

  1. Your SAT score of 1540 is above the average score of about 1500. You can increase your score if you study with a book. I recommend Princeton Review and Tutorfox new SAT guide, http://www.tutorfox.com/satguide.html

With both books I improved my score from 1660 to 2120 in only 2 months of summer. Good luck, and let me know if you need any more help.

  2. its ok. depends what state u live in

  3. If you want to get into a top tier school, those scores are not going to cut it

  4. You have a 1540. You only add up the three sections, don't include the essay or multiple choice because those are sub sections under writing. The highest you could have received is a 2400 and the average is about 500 in each section with a 1510 total, so your about average. Your score is ok, but depending on what school you want to go to you may need to take it again. Study for the test and try again in October. I'm suure you'll do a lot better the second time and either way your GPA and activities is more important.

Oh, and your percentages, such as your 65% mean that you did better than 65% (and worse than 35 %) of the people that took the test on that day.

The verbal is the critical reading and the composite (or total) are the three sections together.
