SAT scores.?

umm.. i took my first SAT and i got 680 on reading, but my real scores are are close to 550's. If i get around 550s on the next SAT, would the college board say i cheated or somehting?

  1. sounds like you lucked out! I would continue to practice the practice but if your scores don't get close to 680... don't take it again!

    colleges selection boards usually look at all of the tests in total and focus on your highest scores for admissions bracket.  It is very common for scores to change from one test to the next.

  3. no. many students lose points from their second to first exam. it could simply depend on the kind of day the exam taker was having. could be the environment they took the test in. couldve been personal problems. all these factors, as well as the fact that cheating on sats is next too impossible, lead me to believe that it wont be a big deal at all.

  4. No. They wouldn't. I don't understand why your score would fall that much though.
