OK im very confused on my sats scores i think i did very bad.

which i dont understand i am was a jr when i took the Sats and i just got my final reportcard and it was all a's and B's ....but i dont understand why i am so low on my Sats.

how is college going to accept this. ??? i work hard for honor roll. and i get **** scores???

these are my scores:

Critical Reading 420 22%

Math 390 13%

Writing 320 4%

Multiple Choice 32 (score range: 20-80)

Essay 6 (2-12)

HOW! I HONESTLY DONT UNDERSTAND I WAS SO NERVOUS FOR THE TEST BUT ITS NOT LIKE IM A STUPID PERSON I SHOULDNT BE GETTING SCORES LIKE THIS. so much for college

  1. You still have time to take it again!! Usually there are SAT prep courses somewhere around you. Try taking one of those  or the one on CollegeBoard.com! They help a lot with test taking strategies which seems to be what gets you all nervous. I bet you will see an improvement if you prepare a whole lot. That will make you feel way more confident and relieve some of those nerves!


  2. Don't give up on college just because of a poor SAT score. Most colleges value your GPA more than your SAT score anyway. Plus there are some colleges now that do not even require you submit your SAT score. Don't stress about it too much. Just take a prep course over the summer and retake the test fall of senior year. Colleges will take your highest score.

    The SAT does not measure your intelligence, do not think that you are stupid just because of one test. Most colleges realize now that your GPA is a far better indicator of your ability to succeed in college than your SAT score.

  3. If you're that upset about your scores, take it again. Maybe get a tutor or take the ACT's instead. Most colleges will accept one or the other. Ask your friends how they did.
