SAT this saturday!!?

im taking the SAT's this saturday and i just don't feel prepared. i just got a practice book earlier this week. And i don't know any of the words. Whats a good way to study this soon and how do i memorize the words in the book without my mind blanking out? so much to do and so little time! can someone please give me some tips and tricks? thanx

  1. I think as you have very less time you should try wordpower by norman levis it will help you to learn new roots of the words and your vocab problem will be solved

    if you know roots of words memorizing them is child's play.

Don't waste your time memorizing the words.  Memorizing doesn't work at all.  What you need to do is practice.  Do a lot of critical reading practice problems so that you get used to the kind of questions they ask.  When you're doing the vocabulary questions, try to break the word down into different parts.  The root of the word usually gives you a very good idea of what the word means in general.  When I was studying for the SATs I never memorized any words.  I just did hundreds of practice problems.  After a lot of practice, I could tell whether words sounded positive or negative and then I could figure out what they meant in general based on their root.  That's all you need in order to do well on the critical reading section.
