Question:

SAT writing section?

should i skip reading the passages and go to the questions and refer back to whichever part of the passage it wants to ask me or should i read the whole thing first but that usually takes up time and time is definitly a factor here

  1. if i was you i would read the passage first, as you should get at least 5 minutes to read it anyway, this would give you a good idea of what the answer is to the question you are reading... but if you are not sure then skim-read the passage again! Doing this actually takes less time then not reading it and then having to find the answer later!

    i  should know i did my SATs last year!

  3. I would read it first - if you are worried that you are a slow reader you can always train yourself to read faster but still take in enough information. If you read books between now and the exam you will be getting into practice and you may also pick up on some more vocabulary - which is also a good factor for picking up some more marks!!!

  4. Read the questions then the passage, trust me its better to get the questions right then answer more and have many of them wrong that  will hurt your score

    I suggest  you  check this book out it will help raise your score and goes more in depth to your question
