SBDA partners with Elite Darts Association to lead darts revolution
Prominent youth darts organisation named as Steve Brown Darts Academy has recently decided to team up with US based Elite Darts Association.
The decision of collaboration came into effect after SBDA players were successfully able to compete in a professional darts event organised by the Brunel League Circuit.
Steve ‘Bomber’ Brown, who started the academy from a small room of his deceased father, developed into a large scale venture within a very short span of time.
This can be vindicated from the fact that very soon Steve will be launching the fourth and fifth branches of his academy.
According to the darts player, it is pivotal for the academy to go international now.
He further added that it is important to launch darts on a global scale and collaboration with EDA is the first step in this direction.
It is important to mention here that Steve is currently ranked as No. 28 in the world.
Steve has participated in a number of darts events that has provided him with the opportunity of competing against the top-tier of darts.
The 31-year-old Steve strictly said that the ranking system of the academy will not undergo any alteration. The academy at present follows a criterion similar to martial arts schools and training academies.
According to Brown, a similar procedure will be followed in America. On the other hand, EDA has also welcomed the decision.
It is important to mention here that, since EDA opened its doors for partnership nearly 18 months ago, they have been successful in getting the endorsement from PDC.
Furthermore, they have also been successful in chalking out a deal with dartscorner.co.uk.
According to John Lewis, President of the Elite Dart Players Association, the association will be working closely with Steve Brown to effectively organise the program in accordance with the basic requirements.
He also said that US is turning out to be an increasingly potential market for darts and, with the passage of time, the popularity of the game in the country will definitely increase.
Experts like Rod Harrington have also expressed their confidence in the venture by saying that such efforts will definitely allow greater exchange of talent between players from both countries.
