SC Braga‘s Antonio Salvador bemoans referee’s decisions against Sporting- Report

SC Braga chairman, Antonio Salvador, has bemoaned the referee’s decisions in the derby against Sporting Lisbon. The Archbishops lost their Portuguese Cup tie against the Lions, but the superemo claims it is partly due to the official’s incorrect decisions.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 Jardim’s side took on Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon, at Estadio Jose Alvalade yesterday. The visitors faced extensive injury problems before the game and the tactician only had a 19-man squad to choose from.
While the Arsenalists put up a decent performance, they were no match for the Sportinguistas, who were able to overcome their rivals with their firepower.
Domingos Paciência had the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricky-van-Wolfswinkel-c31131 leading the line and the Dutch striker quickly showed his worth by playing in a sumptuous ball to Diego Capel, who scored the first of the night.
SC Braga’s misery was further compounded when Insua added to his side’s tally in the 21st minute, after Berni parried the ball and it hit the defender before going in.
However in the 2nd half all the chances of making a comeback for the away side were dashed with the sending off of Elderson. As the referee’s decision cost his team the match, SC Braga chairman Antonio Salvador has lamented the performance of
the officials.
Speaking to reporters, the superemo said that he was very proud of his players and that winning in the Portuguese Cup was a major part of the club’s plans, which have ended now.
"I am very proud of all those who defend the colours of our team. SC Braga have great people, great players and great men. The Cup of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 was a major goal for this season but were eliminated by a great team, Sporting. But I was not happy with the arbitration.”
He also added that Sporting’s first goal should have been ruled out for offside and that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anderson-c5565 Polga should have been give his marching orders for his tackle on Alan.
“Sporting’s first goal scored by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244’s challenge on Polga, which should have gotten him a red card,” Antonio Salvador said.
