SC Freiburg’s Papiss Demba Cisse reinstates desire of playing in England
Having previously been linked with clubs like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Sunderland and Newcastle United, Freiburg striker Papiss Demba Cisse has reinstated the desire of playing in England. He also confirmed of his stay at Freiburg until the end of this season by signing
a contract extension. 
Cisse was recently offered a new contract by Freiburg officials, following transfer speculations ahead of the winter transfer window. The player was linked with a move away from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, which was a big concern for the club. 
The Senegalese international was given an incentive according to which the club would release Cisse on receiving any impressive offers from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
Freiburg values Cisse at around 17 million euro and the Premier League outfit, Sunderland, are believed to be preparing an official bid for the 26-year-old.
Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, rates the player highly and wants to recruit him at Stadium of Lights at the end of this season.
Cisse has so far had an outstanding 2011/12 campaign, having already scored eight goals from 12 league appearances. The player was also the second highest goal scorer last season with 22 goals in 32 league games.
While talking to Goal.com, the Senegalese international further enthused, “I want to test myself at a big club and I believe I would be a big success in England. I watch the Premier League and I am pleased that people are talking about me in the same sentence
as good clubs. My aim is to be the best I can be, we will see what happens but my club know my position.”
The player also reserved praise for Freiburg officials on providing him with ample first team opportunities. He expressed desire of leading his side to silverware but demanded massive changes in the infrastructure in order to win something.
He concluded his remarks by saying, “I respect the club and we have a good relationship, they gave me the opportunities. If I stay until the end of the season, I will do my best and remember how much they have supported me.”
Freiburg are currently second from bottom in the league table with 10 points from 12 games and will next take on Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 on Saturday, November 19.
