Frank de Boer, Ajax manager, believes that his side has a good chance to become Dutch champions and tipped out the his men are only one win away from winning the title after an excruciatingly wait for seven years. De Joden won their last Eredivisie title
back in 2004.
Boer was far from pleased with his side’s win over the Friesland outfit and believed that his side got lucky to secure all three points at the Abe Lenstra Stadion.
Boer said, “This was one of those games that doesn't really deserve a winner. A final score of 6-6 would have been a better result. We were the luckiest team here today.”
“We struggled a bit because of their game plan. We failed to score a third goal and the match could have gone either way. We're only one win away from the Eredivisie title now”, he concluded.
The outfit from Friesland got off to a perfect start in front of their home crowd. The home side took the lead in the 19th minute through Mika Vayrynen, when the 29-year-old midfielder’s powered a left-footed shot from the 30-yard line, which
found the back of the net.

Ajax will now play the league leaders Twente at the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday, May 15. The outfit from Amsterdam would be looking to secure all three points in front of their home crowd and emerge as the Dutch champions. However, the reigning Eredivisie
champions will not give up their title without a fight. It will certainly prove to be yet another thrilling finale to the Eredivisie season.
