are keen to add the striker to their attacking third in the ongoing summer transfer market.
As interest from a number of clubs continues to mount, the 22-year-old was being tempted to move away from his current club. However, the promising youngster has now clearly indicated that he expects to stay in Heerenveen.
The youngster, who scored 13 goals in 32 appearances in the season ended, has an ongoing contract that keeps him at Abe Lenstra Stadion until the summer of 2015. The striker revealed that he is an expensive player for interested clubs, making a move at this
point in time unlikely to happen.
“This summer I have been really busy (working on) a transfer. Now I am no longer working. Because I have a four year contract, I am an expensive player for interested clubs. I have learned that Feyenoord are interested, but I have not heard any more, which
is why I'll continue at Heerenveen this season”, Dost said while talking to the journalists.
The 22-year-old started his professional career with FC Emmen in the 2007/08 season. After netting six goals in 23 appearances in his debut season, the youngster made his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Heracles-Almelo-c39520 where he played well over 50 games and managed to find the
back of the net on 17 occasions before arriving at Abe Lenstra Stadion.
The young ace was frustrated with Ron Jans, Heerenveen head coach, after he dropped him from the starting eleven for quite a few games in the last season. Nonetheless, the striker remained a regular starter towards the end of the campaign and proved his
worth in the attacking third.
“Everyone was aware of my situation last year. Nevertheless I scored 13 times. I am confident that this season will be better. It is a joyful sensation. That's one good thing”, the striker concluded.
According to experts, the young ace’s decision to prolong his stay in Heerenveen can turn out to be an excellent choice. Should the youngster excel in his performances in the new season, he could surely benefit by moving to challenge himself elsewhere.
