at Abe Lenstra Stadion by offering him an extension to his current contract. However, the 23-year-old is uncertain about his future after hearing of interest from a host of Dutch top tier clubs.

On the other hand, Heerenveen now want their midfielder to return to Abe Lenstra Stadion following his impressive outings in the season ended. The situation is growing tricky for the young midfielder, but the 23-year-old revealed that he is not confused
with the offers.
“This is a new situation for me, but I am not confused. Over the past six months at Excelsior, I wanted to add value to a club in Eredivisie. It might be Heerenveen”, Roorda was quoted as saying to the media.
The versatile midfielder held talks with the Sportclub management earlier and reports suggest that the dialogue between the two parties ended on a positive note. The Dutch U-21 International revealed that he was pleased with the conversation he had with
the board.
“It is certainly very pleasing. The board has given me the feeling that they respect me and have trust in my abilities. It has not become concrete yet. Next time, we will consider everything”, the midfielder added.
The promising youngster further went on to appreciate the fact that the fans want him to return to Abe Lenstra Stadion.
“It is great that the fans want me to return. For the fans I would be back at Heerenveen, but there are other factors too”, Roorda concluded.
The 23-year-old midfielder started his career with Heerenveen in the 2007/08 season. He has played 34 matches and scored two goals for the Sportclubt thus far.
