Question:

SCAMMED on ebay? What should I do ? Advice?

I recently won an auction via eBay, the auction ended Jan 17th, I paid the seller the same day via PayPal. Today is the 1st of Feb, it has been 14 days. Yes the seller lives in the U.S. and the seller's shipping method was PRIORITY MAIL. I am a very understanding person. I contacted the seller more than once about this listing. She replied once, stating her daughter was sick which was on the 22nd of Jan. I waited and waited- no other communication at all. Today I filed a dispute for nonreciept of item, I wanted to know if this was the best resolution for this situation. Honestly, I dont want my money back, I really want the items I won. However I know that 9 times out of 10 I will probably just get the money back- SUCKS!

I love eBay but sellers like this person make it hard for buyers to trust other sellers.

  1. You need to follow the PayPal Dispute process,  she will either have to provide you with tracking that it shipped or give you your money back.  This could take a couple of weeks, you should escalate the complaint to a dispute for quicker resolution.

    Did the seller have at least 98% positive feedback, and lots of it? what were the other feedback comments? make sure you check this out before bidding in anything!

  3. Do whatever it takes for you to rectify this situationto your satisfaction.  I have never done business with ebay and this is the reason why,you don't know who is trustworthy.

  4. it happen to me too , once i win usb 4GB for just $ 1.50 !!!!!

    and free shipping , which are being sold for $10-15 in other auction , and seller is not shipping , i have alredy open dispute and waiting , I think you can wait for some more , if you don;t get better open dispute and get your money back.

  5. eBay is going in the toilet.  This sort of thing happens all the time now.  About all you can do is report it and let them deal with it.

    Good Luck her daughter could be sick but you will get your answer soon.

  10. E-bay has staff that will research problems.  

    Contact them and ask for help.
