SCHOOL? plzz help me?

Hi, ohk well school starts soon and ill be a junior in highschool. im dreading it soo much because one thing. reading out loud. i cant do it. even in my desk i just cant do it. we go aroudn the room alot and i cant, i alwyas have to but i freak out and cant breathe- i think i have anxiety or something and i wanna get over this so bad , cuz if it wasnt for the reading in just a few of the classes i have to i would enjoy school a whole lot more. how can i get over this and like school more? do i get on axiety pills? if so how do i tell and ask my parents. ? plz help me.

  1. I wouldn't try to rely on drugs...If I were you, I would try to say hi to the others around you more often and maybe talking/joking a little more. It will feel easier to read out loud then. Joke with the teacher too.


  2. dont focus on everybody, just focus on the words. picture each one in your head. dont get embarassed about it... its just a small thing.

  3. If you'll be starting back at school soon, especially junior, then the last thing you want to do is muzzy up you brain with pillls or tablets.....

    Of couse you should let your parents know how you feel, perhaps they will help you by allowing you to practice reading out loud to them - perhaps they can help you with the struggle of words you find difficult or don't understand .... if you can't get your parents to help, tell them anyway, but ask your teachers and school friends to help instead ..... the more people you can get to help you the more quickly you will come to understand exactly what your fears and difficulties are and then you can start to learn how to overcome them ..... and certainly don't allow silly people (if you ever meet up with them) who may make a joke of your difficulties - this usually happens because they have their own difficulties to cover up .....

    you sound like a lovely individual who is going to go on to become a lovely confident and strong person - by learning to help yourself and not be afraid to ask for help, you will become a strength and confidante to your friends and family when you are needed....
