  1. I had to take the same type of test when in 8th grade.  Personally I would take about 30 minutes memorizing 5 at a time and each time adding the previous ones i just memorized.  So it would be hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, baron for about 30 minutes then hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, baron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, fluorine, and neon for 30 minutes and so on.  Or you could memorize the symbols because they are all related to name and memorize any exceptions like iron and stuff then just use the word bank.  Everybody else in my class just cheated on the exam because the teacher was new so all she did was sit down during the exam and the desks at my school allow space to put something in between.  I do not recommend this because you learn nothing and I was the only person to have had all of it memorized.

  2. Elements 20-30 are:

Calcium, Scandium, Titanium, Vanadium, Chromium, Manganese, Iron, Cobalt, Nickel, Copper, Zinc.
