The nergy required to lift 2 skiers to the top of the mountain is 240,000J. the energy supplied to the motor is 800,000J. CALCULATE THE EFFICIENCY

i forgot the equation and please show how you did it.

    and to the guy above me... you&#039;re saying the lift is 330% efficient?


  2. The formula for Efficiency is Energy Output÷Energy Input ×100%. In the problem, the Energy Output is 240,000J while the Energy Input is 800,000J.

    240,000J÷840,000J × 100% = 30%

    30% is the efficiency.

    Efficiency = Useful Energy / Total Energy

    So,

    Efficiency of motor = 240,000/ 800,000 = 0.3 or 30% efficiency
