SD Memory Card. I have a 128mb toshiba memory card and unfortunately it doesn't read in my camera

I have a 128mb toshiba memory card and unfortunately it doesn't read in my camera which is a HP Photosmart 435. It says 'unsupported card' when in the card slot. Obviously I have bought a memory card that does not support my camera. But someone told me it should be able to read it unless the card is "kaput". Does anyone know about these things? Thank you.
