I just purchased a new camera and am looking for a larger capacity card. What is the difference between all these SD formats:

SD/SDHC Memory Card

MultiMediaCard

MMC Plus Card

HC MMC Plus Card

  1. The first one is designed for digital cameras. while they will work with a so called MultiMediaCard (MMC), they are usually a little slower card because music files to not have to read or write very fast.

    SD (up to 2GB) and SDHC (4GB and larger) are the best to use in your P&S camera and some entry level DSLR's
