SD card help!!!?format!!!!?

i was trying to copy some pictures and videos from my sd card in my sd card adapter but my computer froze i turned it off :( then when i turned it on on removable disk F & G it says i need to format and it erased everything..now i thought it was fixed but whenever i take pictures and then turn off my camera and then on again on my camera it says i need to format also..so whats going on here how do i stop this?

Sometimes the way the computer formats a card doesn't agree with the way it happens in-camera. Normally re-formatting it in-camera should fix it as long as you then never format it via computer again.

If that doesn't do it, perhaps your card got "fried" during the incident with the computer. Memory cards can and do die from time to time. Perhaps it is time to give up and buy a new one.
