SDHC Is not working no matter what!!!!!?

I have an Acer Aspire 5100, and i have a 8gb micro SDHC and it wont work, no matter what i do. I have tried Hotfix (both versions) and Windows Service Pack, i have also tried plugging it into a camera and doing that, i have windows XP. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

There is a chance that your card reader does not support HC cards.  You may be limited to a 2GB card at max.  I checked on the Acer web site and had a hard time finding information on this.  You may need to email their tech support and ask if an 8GB card is supported by the reader.
