Question:

SDHC cards for camcorders?

I've just bought an 8GB SDHC card for my Panasonic camcorder which takes SDHC up to 16GB and class 6.

The card is a Transcend SDHC Class 6 so should work perfectly well, but when I insert it into the camcorder I got a "card error" message on my camcorder screen. My camcorder is in perfect working order having used smaller capacity cards previously.

Is this just an unlucky faulty product or are Transcend no good for movie recording?

  1. try getting another card if you bought t  sounds faulty to me I just read the sdhc are for using above 2gb  maybe you need to format the card frst  or change a setting in your camera ? try to google sdhc + error see what you get back or email panasonic

  2. I would first try formatting the card, and if that doesn't work then return it, i would have recommended you bought a panasonic SD card or San Disk personally as in 2 years of working in a camera shop i have never seen one go wrong, sometimes corrupted from user error but not from brand new. Transend cards also come with a lifetime warranty so if you have no look with who ever you bought it from you can send it back to them
