SDIO Slot Help?

I am buying my first handheld which is a hp ipaq 111 and i was wondering what the SDIO slot is and if i would be able to use a normal SD card with it to read files and music and to also use it as a memory exspansion to store things on from the handheld.

Yes, you can use regular SD cards.  However, I am not sure it can use the newer standard SDHC.  This is the same size as the older SD cards, but is not compatible with older standard SD & SDIO devices.
