The stupid website only tells you when ticket offices are open, but I just want to know if I can show up when the office is not open and still get on a train at a regional rail station. I would be using the Ft. Washington station. Also, does it cost more to do it that way?

  1. There are SEPTA Regional Rail machine located at Regional Rail Station.

If window is not open or vending machine is not working, you could pay onboard.

If window is open or vending machine operating, $2 SURCHARGE APPLY with your ticket if you board onboard at that time.

  2. If the station where you get on is not open, then you just pay the regular ticket price when you buy it from the conductor. If the station is open, then you pay a surcharge on top of the ticket price.
