SETUP2EXE preventsCD rom running

Question

Window 2000 Compaq Laptop Evo N800c
This is a second computer which I have been trying to connect to Broadband, using AOL disc. The disc starts for initial introduction and Then I get the box which states ''Program Error, SETUP2 EXE has generated errors and will be closed by windows''. You will need to restart the program.
This only repeats the problems. I don't know how to solve the problem.
Your advice would be appreciated please.
