SF Giants - Tyler Walker?

Question

Is it just me....? Or does Tyler Walker absolutely suck???

Tim Lincecum: 7 innings pitched, 13 strikeouts, 0 walks

Leaves after 7 with a 3-2 lead.

Enter Tyler Walker: 5 batters later: 2 runs allowed, 2 runners on and the lone out was a sac fly.

This bozo does this time and time again. If the Giants had a bullpen, Lincecum would have about 15 wins by now.

what can you do? he's had his highlights, few and far between. i say trade him to Tampa, get a couple of prospects, and be done. lincecum is too good of a pitcher to have wins taken away from him by the bullpen (it has happened repeatedly). sabean has labeled him the franchise, yet doesn't have a seasoned bullpen to help him out (yabu doesn't count). but he will still reach 15 wins this year

Lincecum should have gotten the win tonight. Im so pissed. Walker is pretty much garbage.

"15 win" potential is almost right.

5/15 Astros game at home that Lincecum pitched, leaving with a 7-3 lead. Giants lose 8-7.

Walker: 0.2 IP, 3H, 4ER, 1BB

6/22 KC game. Lincecum leaves with a 10-5 lead after 5 IP. Giants lose 11-10.

Bullpen: 4IP, 8H, 6R, 4BB

7/26 (today). Lincecum leaves with 3-2 lead after 7 IP. Giants lose 5-3.

Walker: 0.1 IP, 3H, 3ER

He should be 14-3 by now. If you have games where the Giants score at least 2 or 3 runs for him, maybe 15-16 wins.

Im gonna go with Tyler Walker absolutely sucks. No kidding....I watched the game and Lincecum was on his game today. Baseball would just be better off with all starters and no bull pen. We could have like 15 starters and we would all rotate....hmmm I don't think that would work but I can dream.

I agree, Bochy was stupid to put Walker in. Why would you put Walker in (4.81 ERA) instead of a guy like Taschner (3.03 ERA)? I'm not saying Taschner is good, but at least he's better than Walker. When a guy like Lincecum throws 13K's, you have to ensure him a win no matter wht.

If only the Giants could clone Brian Wilson...
