never heard of it. But if they want you to send them money then it is a scam.  If they sent you a check, you can take it to you local bank and their fraud and security department can check it out. or you can call the bank that issued the check and see if it is valid.  If the check is out of the country and you live in the us- this is a scam.

Also remember if you never entered a sweepstakes or lottery and someone sends you a letter saying you won something then it is a scam.  Never give out you info such as ss# or bank account info.
