I have a portable DVD player that I believe to be a Shenzhen PDVD8088 (there is no maker's mark, but it looks the same as this player). It used to be region free but now only plays selected disks. For example, Eye Of The Beholder (region 1) works, Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets (Region 2) doesn't work, and neither does End Of Days (region 1). My best guess is that it is a region issue - maybe Eye Of The Beholder isn't region encoded or isn't RCE. I'm looking for a region free hack for the PDVD8088 to try to see if this solves my problem.
