SHIFT HAPPENS! ...HELP!!!?

hello everybody!

well I need to write a paragraph expressing my thoughts about this issue (SHIFT HAPPENS)

I watched a video about..DID U KNOW?

and it was pretty cool but I don't get it though..

so I just know;as as students completes the 8th grade, they have just 2 million minutes to prepare for college and ultimately a career.

- But what's the whole point of this?

Plz help me!

write something so I could take some ideas for u all and make a good paragraph about What I understood.

You could talk about how you feel as American knowing that your country is to fall while the rest of the world rises. How do you feel knowing China has more honor students than America has students?

I would need to see the video...

without seeing it, my guess is that it was preparing students for the future and explaining just how little time there is. The answer of course coming from not seeing the video.

As the size of the problem increases linearly, the time to solve the problem increases exponentially.

In other words - our USA kids really need to learn and do - not simply fall through the cracks of society. They are not being taught the basic skills of reading writing and arithmetic. As the problems of the world grow -our kids will fall behind in solving them for lack of education and self discipline.

They are relying on technology to answer everything. Society has allowed the children to bypass the fundamental concepts and advance with the aid of computers -not good. The kids are not truly learning how to function and are allowing computers to manage school and entertainment. I never thought I would see the day when a commercial would come on television encouraging kids to go out and play in America!

Our country has allowed the youth to enjoy adult luxuries without having to work for them. Instead of learning how to cook -we use microwaves.

Instead of sewing -the clothes are thrown away or sent elsewhere. Instead of using a #2 pencil and the brain to solve problems -computers and calculators do it all(including spell check).

What will our future adults do if technology falters?

We put so much importance on cell phones,ipods,video games and computers and forget there is a real world out there.

Our society has removed the value of honor, family and  good education.
