Question:

SHOP OWNERS: Please come, I need some insight. (Preferable boutique owners but everyone is welcome!)?

Hi, my dream is to own a clothing boutique and I have a couple questions about the business.

What is a typical day in your line of work?

What's the one thing you regret doing?

What's one thing you're glad you did?

Is this what you want to do?

What do you stock?

Is this what you wanted to be when you were in college?

Thanks so, so, so, so, so much!

  1. Work 70+ hours a week between the shop and home office.

Regret not saving more money before starting boutique. I spend nearly $2000 a month on advertising alone! Way more than I expected.

Glad that I didn't hire any employees.  I am the only employee and my daughter helps out as needed.

Sell bridal/formal wear. Love to sell Homecoming & Prom dresses to teens. Hate selling dresses to Mothers of the Bride!

    Didn't go to college.

Retired from first career as insurance agent after 27 years.

Only in business 6 months so very very new at this but definitely love it!!
