SEDATED FOR FILLS AND CAPS WITH VERSED BUT HAD NO AFFECT ON HIM, WE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AS HE KEPT CRYING AND COMPLAINING OF PAIN WHEN THE DR. WAS TRYING TO WORK ON HIM, HE DIDN'T FINISH WORKING ON HIM AND DID NOT EVEN COMPLETE THE FILLS OR THE CAPS THAT HE NEEDED ON HIS BOTH FRONT TEETH. THEY REFERRED ME TO ANOTHER DR. THAT I THOUGHT WOULD DO THE WORK WITH GENERAL ANESTHESIA, BUT ALSO USES SEDATION BUT THIS TIME ITS CHLORAL HYDRATE? AND I WONDER IF IT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS VERSED AND IS MY SON GOING TO EXPERIENCE PAIN AND CRY LIKE HE DID THE LAST TIME. THEY TELL ME THAT FOR THE GENERAL ANESTHESIA THEY DO IT AT THE HOSPITAL AND WILL BE A WAIT FOR ANOTHER FOUR MONTHS! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, I DON'T WANT MY SON TO EXPERIENCE ANY PAIN BUT I ALSO WANT THE ANESTHESIA TO BE SAFE. SHOULD HE HAVE THE CHLORAL HYDRATE OR GENERAL? AND IS CHLORAL HYDRATE STRONGER THAN VERSED? HE NEEDS EXTRACTION OF ONE FRONT TOOTH BECAUSE IT IS NOW INFECTED AND A CAP ON THE OTHER , AND HAS 10 CAVITIES.

  1. try not using caps next time, it is harder to read. If he is 3 and needs so much work done then go with the general. Noone should have to go through all that awake. 10 cavitites!! poor thing

  2. okay well the thing is theyre baby teeth so he doesnt need work and second how did a 3 year old get 10 cavities

  3. First of all, your child doesn't need baby teeth. He is going to feel pressure while they work on him, not pain. Just get both teeth pulled with the normal shot. It is crazy to risk sedation over a baby tooth.

If he has that many cavities you might want to work on his brushing technique....

  4. get all his rotten  teeth pulled, no real point in filling baby teeth!!

you really need to brush his teeth 4 times a day to prevent cavities, if you can't take care of his baby teeth he will have a lot of problems with his adult ones.

How did his teeth get so bad?

  5. They used twilight sedation on me in March when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. I was apparently awake... but asleep the whole time. I did't feel a thing until I woke up. I also don't remember anything except the needle they put in my arm.
