  1. YES, perhaps they wouldnt be needy if they were not on drugs. If i have to take a drug test for my govt. job, they should have to take one for money that will be given out. I dont see what the problem is, just pee in a bottle, if your clean there should be no worries.

  2. Absolutely ... this is a question I have asked a million times.  We, as hard working tax payers, are sick and tired of paying peoples way while they sit around and get stoned and drunk.  No more free rides.  I understand people sometimes hit hard times and need assistance and my heart goes out to them.  However, families who consistently pop out children for the sake of more money absolutely make me sick.  We have to submit to  random drug tests on many oilfield sites as well as criminal record checks, vulnerable sector searches, TB testing and many other outrageous tests so we can work our a**es off.  Could any of those on social assistance, welfare, whatever pass any of  these tests?  My guess is not many.

  3. big brother is always watching. I wouldn't mind but then again I don't do anything to get caught. Umm Maybe if they had a history of abuse if could be a requirement. good question requires some more thought. I'll ponder over this some more and get back to you. :)

  4. I think so.  If a person wanting aide has nothing to hide on that then there shouldn't be problem.  But if there is a drug problem causing this family to be needy then maybe it could help wake this person up to get treatment and help the family as well.

  5. That don't sound like too bad an idea! h**l, it would put some money back in my pocket, too.

  6. Of course....If someone using taxpayer money is on drugs , they should be cut off. The aide is for the children , not the adults. Its the purpose of SS to give aide to dependant families not their parents. Sadly enough the parents benefit and manage the funds so they should be open to Drug Testing.

Truck drivers take them as do many other professions. If the people that pay the taxes that support those who either cant or wont work , then those who recieve the funds should be open to the same type testing.

  7. Wow, that is an excellent question.  I have to agree that it would never work, but if there were some way To make it work, I would be all for it. What about you? What's your opinion?

  8. No, Just because everyone else takes legal heroin (Prozzac, etc) doesn't mean that kids who smoke weed or crack should get **** on.

  9. Yes I think that would be good so we well know that they are not going to spend the money on drugs.

  10. yes they should .if they have nothing to hide then they should not mind(you pee or no money) and if they do have something to hide like drug use then we know were their money goes and we can either help them or let  them burn in their own self made life trap anyway you look at it i don't want to pay for some lazy *** druggie who doesn't want to work for a living like a majority of  welfare collector

  11. Yes, but the costs of the program would be very expensive and not worth it.

  12. Drug testing and mandatory birth control should be required.  Birth control implants the first time they apply for welfare, otherwise the system keeps growing with more welfare babies.

  13. Yes, to recieve federal funds or state funds or housing...you should have to pass a drug test.....

  14. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) introduced a bill that would amend the Social Security Act to require States to implement a drug testing program for applicants for and recipients of assistance under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. If an applicant fails a drug test, or was convicted of a drug related crime they can be denied aid. Also, states would be allowed to require random or set time drug tests. A person can be permanently denied aid if they fail three drug tests or receive three drug related convictions.

  15. Would be a good idea that would never work because of the cost and the fraud.

  16. YES. YES. And buy the way did I happen to say YES. If they are spending all there money to get high why should we be forced to feed and house them. For those people who say "what about the kids". The kids should immediately be taken into protective custody. They will have a much better chance at  a normal life that way.

  17. NO! i'm insulted by that. i have a "needy" family but im not a drug addict. just because you are poor doesnt mean you are a junkie!

  18. Sounds like a great idea, if they have kids and cant stay off drugs take their kids away also.
