  1. Change will happen to this car. I read an article on the nascar.com website that Goodyear is making a brand new tire for this car but it is 2 years away. The tire is larger. Nascar needs to work with the drivers to help get the car to turn better by getting weight to shift through the car better, so things will change on this car, just not going be overnight wholesale changes.

We are working on a larger contain-air volume, a bigger section width, taller tire, larger bead diameter. Right now, it's all modeling. We're trying to figure out what the right size would be. End Quote

  2. the COT has given all the teams problems at different tracks and I feel they should give the teams a litle more leadway in setting up the shock packages and more testing on the tires before the races in order not to have another Brickyard disaster, just an opinion

  3. they need to figure out how to make what they got work

  4. They have to address the rear wing issues before these teams spend alot of $$$ Building a fleet of cars !!

  5. NASCAR needs to make one set of rules per year and get out. Let the teams work within the parameters set by the the regulatory commision (so to speak), and the people need to quit whining when a team learns how to "make things work" Change is good, but not to hamper performance. Leave the hurt feelings at the door. "They" are killing the competitiveness of the sport.

  6. They should take out all the changes and bring back "real" stock car racing.

If you manufacture nothing but V6 powered front wheel drive cars then that should be what you have to race. Dropping a front wheel drive body onto a race car chassis and calling it a stock car is just plain ridiculous. I'm really tired of watching all these cars go around the track with all of them on the same lap. That is not racing; that's a parade. Bring back the old NASCAR. The new one sucks.

  7. They need to change something.  You can't have too many races like the Brickyard 400 where cars have to pit every ~10 laps because their tires are completely shot every 10 laps (or less...).  Doing nothing to improve the cars for tracks like Indy is a great way to lose an entire fan base in a hurry.

Whether the change is to add more downforce on certain tracks (bigger spoilers etc.,), find a new tire supplier who knows what they're doing, or just to make the existing Goodyear tires wider (especially right-side tires) on tracks like Indianapolis, something needs to be done or fans aren't going to show up to next year's Brickyard event.

  8. i think they should leave them alone..

  9. i say go back to the old cars.take that stupid looking wing and that front spoiler off and let them run like they use to.to many changes to a sport normally s***w it up.
