Buying a "reconditioned" PS2 is a bad idea. In my experience, reconditioned products frequently have problems, and SONY is HORRIBLE to deal with when you need a repair. Even though there are still companies supporting PS2 and developing for it, the system is on its way out. I would recommend saving up and buying either a PS3 or 360. I have both. I prefer the 360 by a large margin, so I would recommend that. There is a price drop coming, which will put the "Arcade" edition at 199.99. Or for only a little more, you can get the standard system, with a hard drive.

h**l no!!!!!!! ps2 is like going out and buying a NES.  Its outdated.  Spend the money on a 360!  much better GFX and better games!

you should save up and buy a used PS3... trust me it is worth it... i suggest you to buy the 60gb if you want to play PS2 games
