She's 2 and a half and I haven't taken her to the theatres yet b/c I've been afraid of how long her attention span is... Do most ppl take 2 year olds to kids G rated Disney movies in the THEATER? or do most people wait till its on DVD?

And if I SHOULD take her, what are some tips you have for me?

  1. In my family there are five children and none of us were taken until we were four years old. One of my sisters took her daughter  to the theater when she was only two and it didn't go so well because my niece lost focus in the middle of the movie. Wall-E is a very entertaining movie with lots of colour and movement, so your child may be able to keep her attention on the movie. The noises however, are very loud - so if she doesn't like loud noises don't take her! I would suggest not buying anything to eat or just a small box of candy - too many things will make it difficult for her to pay attention to the movie. At 2 and a half, I would say you may want to wait another year or so, but if you don't wait - good luck! :)

  2. no, you will waste your money. Their attention span is not that long. I took my 4 yr. old and he got bored. Wall-E is about relationships (Wall-e and Eve) and of course satire about the future- alot of the movie is not going to be understood by toddlers.

  3. I didn't take my daughter to a movie until she was 4 and even then she was very misbehaved through most of it.  :-(  I had gone during the middle of the week at like at 10:30am show and the movie had been out a while.  There were other parents in there with small kids so they understood, thankfully.  I didn't take her to a movie again until just last year (she was 6) and we saw Alvin and the Chipmunks.  We ended up leaving before it was over because she was getting "tired".

    At 2, I'd wait.

  4. I say go ahead and take her, sit next to the exit so if she starts acting up you can get her out before she bothers others. Good LucK!

  5. You should take her so she gets used to going to the movies.  Buy her a big bucket of pop corns, that will entertain her.

  6. My friend took her 4 year old,he barely laughed. She said most of the talking In the movie was robot language...So..I dont know If your little girl would like It very much.

  7. My son is 5 and I took him to see the movie and not even half way through the movie he wanted to go home already! I would wait, with theatre prices so high it would be a waste to go and have to leave through the movie

    Good Luck!!

  8. I didn't take my son to the movie until he was 3. Can she sit through a full lenght movie at home?
