SHould i get a MAc Book for 1099?

right now i have a desktop computer windows xp which i want to give to my father

should i get a mac book even if i am 12

i want to get the mac because imy dad uses it alot and i think i need one for me only

Don't buy a Mac, but something that is actually compatible with something!

Dell XPS is a great line of laptops, and for a kid your age, some fo the stuff you'll want to install will not work on a Mac (I remember when I was 12 haha).

You should definively buy a mac. It is really safer ans simpler than Windows, really easy to get used to and even if you still want to use Windows after trying OS X, you can install Windows on it and have the two systems on the same machine.

So, for the same price, you get a machine that can run two systems for the price of one.
