SHould i use a tote or backpack for my first day of Highschool ?

Im going to be a freshman now in Highskewll.. My first year.. and i was wondering which one i should use.. a tote or a backpack

If you're gettting a lot of stuff to bring, get a backpack because carrying heavy things on one shoulder with a tote is really bad for your back. See what the homework load is like then decide. And also you can see what other people do, just don't get a tote JUST AND ONLY because "everyone else does it" when you have a lot to carry.

I'd just say backpack...I find it more convenient

tote! keep a backpack in your locker, and just use it to bring all your books home. but use a tote throughout the day

Well on my first day of high skool (I'm going to be a junior) I wore a backpack. But now totes are really getting in these days so maybe I would go with a tote. Just make sure that the tote is good looking and from a brand name or designer store, there is nothing worse than a cheap tote from target or walmart, UGH! U shud get brands like Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, or ruehl.

well, i'd say a tote bag on the first day...when you dont have a lot of books to carry. then once the homework starts to pile on, use a backpack. trust me, it HURTS when you have to carry all those books in a tote bag! i've tried....and it doesnt work. there are some cute backpacks out there...like i have this jansport one that has polkadots on it like this:

or you could get a personalized l.l. bean one...those are really kool...as for totes, i like the hollister or abercrombie and fitch ones...if money isnt an issue for you, i'd suggest those....i hope i helped and good luck on your 1st day of highskool!

I used a totebag from Abercrombie all year last year in highschool. You should get one from Abercrombie or Hollister because I know they can hold up and last all year, since I carried LOTS of books in mine. Just make sure to get one that is wide enough to fit your binders/books. Lots of people use them, but some people still use backpacks so it's your choice! (I wouldn't order one online though since you should go to the store and make sure it is sturdy and is big enough to hold your books).

since its the first day of school its your probobly not going to do anything but be introduced to your teachers, ect. so you wont need alot of stuff (at least i wont)  so just take a tote!

Totes, they are waay cute and practical.

however if you are in honors and ap classes, I'd get a backpack since the homework overload will kill your shoulders.

Backpack, deff. I don't understand how the girls want to put so much pressure from on one shoulder, when I'd much rather use 2. This year a bunch of girls are using totes, I guess it's the "in" thing. I started highschool 2 weeks ago, have fun. it's a blast. ( can you sense my scarism?)
