SIMS 2 on PC.. Keeps freezing in the same spot.. help!?

Question

Everytime I click on the family I want to play, it always freezes on that loading page that says Loading whatever Family

I always have to reboot the program... grrrrrrrrrrrr

hmm you need someone good here.. don't just toss it aside.. if my brother was here and i was having that problem sense he really prides himself in his computer skills it's not as hard to get him to drop what he's doing to help me as it is other things.. and i know those people can fix that by problem solving going one by one through possible problems.. unfortunately i can't do it.. but don't lose hope

well maybe the your is sorta glitched.  or maybe your computer could be so slow and it's not glitching just taking a long time to load.  but if it's fast and doing that maybe you want to try and reinstall the game the problem could go away.

also maybe it keeps crashing if you have vista.  that happens to me sometimes..... you're just unlucky if it crashes on a certain family and try not to play with that family if that's the case.

if it's only the one family, which, from what i read, it seems to be, then it's probably whatever you have on that lot that's freezing it.

if you used a lot of cheats on that lot or a lot of custom content, either in the people or in buy/build mode, then perhaps your computer can't handle all of that.

if not, there's probably just a glitch with that family and you should avoid playing them.  if the family is really important, maybe you can move them out if the lot they're in now and into a new one.

if it's any time you try to play a family, it may be a glitch in your game, and, though i'm not certain, i would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

1)your computer has to much memory being used. Sims needs a lot of memory to run.

2)you have a virus.

3)you've been playing for hours.

4) there is a disk problem and you'll have to unload all of them and play the first one see if it happens if not play the second one and see if it happens and so on. to see which expansion pack is the problem you might have to buy it agian
