I take singing lessons and do exams and I always tend to get bad throats the week of a performance.

I am singing at my cousins wedding on 18th |September and have been taking Berocca all summer which has kept colds at bay. Im continuing to take it but i always seem to get colds/throat infections the min autumn winter hits... Is there any herbal remedies to combat this? or should i just continue to take vitamins and drink plenty of fluids. Ive tried honey and it doesnt work!

  1. Try drinking honey and lemon juice with hot water. Or when you feel a cold is coming on, gargle with hot salt water.

  2. Echinachea is a lovely herb to have year around.  But a very potent immunity booster that's absolutely necessary when winter rolls in.  This flower is of the daisy family and is a great preventative measure to keep illnesses at bay.  It also tastes great!  It's available at health food stores.  A timeless practice of mine, pour boiling water in a tea cup, squeeze 1/4 lemon juice in with spoonful of honey to mix.  Let it cool a bit before sipping 2x a day.  Also, eat less sugar (which weakens the immune system) and take extra vitamin C.
