Two people have now told me that I will not be able to sit on the floor in a milwaukee brace or will be very difficult. What is it about this brace that will stop me sitting on the floor?

  1. hey iv also have scoliosis. i had to wear the boston brace for a year and then i had to wear the milwaukee brace for a year and a half. honestly, it was very difficult at first but once you get used to how to manuver yourself and find a spot thet is comfortable, then yea youll be able to sit on the ground no prob. unfortunatly, my braces didnt work so i had to have surgery and had two metal rodes put on each side of my spine. im doing fine tho and youd never know that i have rods in my back besies the fact that i cant bend my back of corse lol. but if you have any questions then id love to help as much as i can

  2. First of all, I would really like to know how bad the curvature in your spine is. You would probably have much better luck going to a chiropractor who practices a technique called Chiropractic Biophysics. It does wonders for even the toughest cases of scoliosis. You can find such a chiropractor here: http://www.idealspine.com/ (I think they are doing maintenance on the site until tomorrow).
