OKK SO IM THINKING OF BECOMING A PRO SKATER IM 14

SHOULD I START AM CONTESTS AT AGE 17 03 THE SUMMER AFTER I GRADUATE..BECAUSE IM HOPING TO GET NOTICED AND GET SPONSERED.

if you want to get sponsored, you seriously have to be commited. and i'm not going to lie, its EXTREMELY hard to go pro let alone get noticed. you'll need to start NOW by getting sponsored by local stores and skateparks. and go to skate competetions, get 1rst, 2nd could squeeze thru. after that, start heading up for the big dogs!

just know that you'll need to be hella good, things like hardfliping a 7 flat 3, nollie kickflip to tailslide to fs bigspin. stuff like that will actually get you noticed. and also, when you do crazy things that you know that no one does, DO IT. just think of it, how else did ryan sheckler get so popular besides his good looks? because he did crazy ****. he ollie from extremely high places.

If you want to become a pro, you need to learn how to do the difficult tricks - bottom line. No exceptions. Pros skate every day for hours, practicing and learning the most difficult tricks.

Skate your butt off and get lots of footage. Post it on youtube, send it to your favorite companies, enter am contests. Maybe put together a cheap website, just a couple of pages with a bio, photos and videos.

If you're good an you've got style, and you put yourself out there, you'll get noticed. You have be really good though, because a lot of kids want to turn pro and there is fierce competition.
