Question:

SKY, Freeview, Digital Freesat, Broadband TV & Cable. which is the Best picture quality or value for money?

Yes I do know all of these formats, but I gotta Ask! Which is the best Value for money for the quality of Channels and picture quality?

Previously had both sky digital and Freeview!

  1. Well we have Sky in the main rooms and Freeview in the others. Personally out of those two i'd say Sky as whenever we have bad weather Freeview always gets knocked out for at least a week, Sky we have no major problems.  


  2. It depends what you want. I'm happy with Freeview. Sky, in my opinion, is overpriced and doesn't have enough of interest to make it worthwhile. Freesat can give you HD channels if you have an HD ready television. I would consider Freesat, if I wanted HD. Most people I've talked to don't rate Virgin Media at all well. I truly don't know about broadband TV. IPTV is in its infancy and I'd be inclined to wait a few years before trying it. I'd like to see a reliable 10Mbps broadband connection before I would try it.

    For good Freeview reception you need the correct aerial and good quality co-axial cable. Where I live, the Freeview signal is strong and I can receive it easily with a loft aerial or a set top aerial. Only a small percentage of the population live in areas where that is possible.
