I want to go HD as I have a HD plasma TV. I have just noticed today in the papers that SKY are advertising a special deal at the purchase cost of £75for their HD box, which is valid for a few weeks. Has anyone experienced SKY HD? Is it worth it? How many channels do you actual get in HD? Do you think there is a catch? Thanks for your help guys!! :-)

  1. I don't have HD but I do have Sky+ and its great. We pay £31 per month for the family package which gives us about 150 channels though some of them are pretty c**p.

I believe the HD (high definition) gives a much better quality to the pictures and I may sign up for that soon. The only thing at the moment is that not many of the channels I receive transmit in HD so it would be worthwhile phoning Sky or visiting their website.

  2. £75 for the box is a pretty good deal, but bear in mind it is still an extra £10 a month on your subscription for the HD channels! Personally I would wait a while for more channels to be broadcast in HD as the choice is fairly limited at present, unless your a football fan then watching the premiership in HD would be ace!

  3. in britian if you get aa new subscription i think they give you one free they sent me one
