SKY/ TV/DVD player and Sound!?

Question

I'm trying to connect my TV/ SKY and DVD player all together! I've also got surround sound on the DVD player! When I play a DVD it plays on the TV and the sound comes out of the surround sound, and the TV but how do I get the sound from SKY to come out the DVD players Surround sound? If that makes sence?
