SKY+ upgrade?

I want to get Sky installed, and want Sky+ but instead of paying the £99 I could get one for £20 on E-bay!

Can I just hook it up to an existing SKY line once i get it wired up or do I need Sky to connect it specially?

  1. I think u have to get sky

  2. for sky+ you need the following, A dish pointed 28.2 deg South east - a QUAD lnb (4 outputs -same for HD!) for it...

( wait mid day an point just under the sun - Easy!) 2 coax cables connected between the dish and Sky+ box and a phone line..

You can use a freesat freeview card or ex-subscription card for freeview tv = IE an ex-decoder from e-bay!(with card)

BUT - - you will need to pay SKY £10 a month just so the recording ability on your plus box stays working... Con artists - its like buying a car and paying £10 a month so you can have the wheels on it!

Buy the way for those interested in the HD systems its ALL the same except you need a HD box also the BBC have FREE HD channels on Sky as a trial at the moment..

SOD SKY - let Virgin have satellite systems...Then it will be fairer, The UK are the only country that pay for sat..tv

  3. You would have to get sky to set it up, you could only use that one in another room. If you want it cheap wait until the recommend a friend deal comes back on and you get a sky + box and standard installation free. A small fee if you dont have a land line.
