SLI Ready Video Card?

I am think about sending a videocard I bought from dell back because it freezes my cursour on screen. On tigerdirect.com some cards say SLI Ready. Just because they are sli ready does that mean I have to use that feature and or do I have to have a certain moherboard?

  1. No, SLI ready simply means that if you have a motherboard that supports two cards (SLI) and two similar video cards, you can link them together using SLI technology. But it doesn't mean you have to use it.

    Is the cursor the only thing that freezes? could be the pc overheating, or just the video card. either way you should contact the maker so they can diagnose and fix for you.
