In particular...there is a "haunted" house that when the carriage goes by on the "haunted tour"...the street lights go off and a big wind blows in the street. Is this an example of SLI??

  1. I dont think so. I think this phenom is somthing different. I saw that it is in the initial stages of testing for what thats worth.

  2. sorry pd but i have been able to demonstrate slider abilities, as i cannt prove ghosts exist except for on photos, but the slider im glad that i can make it happen when i want to and in front of many people...if you cannt except that well thats not my problem..but at least I CAN PROVE IT....amen

denie i know spirits can manipulate lights and anything electrical, but i dont think in this case it would be a slider affect, as its to do with a person affecting the lights when they are near them...somehow the persons energy field affects the lights....then you have hauntings where lights can flicker or turn off or on...maybe (just a thought) the lights are being affected with the spirits pressence in the same way a human affects the lights...i really dont know but i cannt see why not (something to think about)

with wind ive had a couple of uncanny experiences with wind blowing out of no where... so much so it bent my drivers door backwards on the hinges, when i was going somewhere that i shouldnt of being going there, i had a friend with me in the car and we stopped 5 minutes away from the place, when i went to open my door, mind you there was no wind at all, it was a clear night, and a gush of wind so strong bent my door backwards, that we had to force it shut, then it wouldnt open at all, and i had to climb through the window or from my passenger side until i got it fixed.. when the repairers asked me what happened, i told them a gush of wind bent the door, he couldnt believe it, as the hinge was so bent that he found it hard to believe wind did that much damage...something or someone was stopping me from going there.that night ..my friend and i got out of there in a hurry...this is when my best friend had died, alot of uncanny things were happening, not only in my eyes but infront of anyone who was with me at the time......do you have a link to this haunted spot denie?

  3. ive heard about that. i live in augusta and we have a supposed haunted part of fort gordon. we have heard all sorts of stories about things happening in georgia....i swear this whole state is haunted.

  4. No, that can only be an indication of an impending storm--that the governor's prayers being answered.  I am serious--the governor is going to publicly pray for rain.  Oh, but I digress...

Strange set of circumstances you have described here Denie, but if a phenomenon were as predictible as you indicate here then I am positive someone would have gotten to the bottom of it.  I'm not saying these things haven't happened, but I seriously doubt if they occur like clockwork.

SLI has never really been demonstrated.  It seems to require a bit of imagination and creative memory.  What I mean is, no one has been able to demonstrate the controlled ability to make lights flicker discriminately.

  5. I don't think so. I think this phenom is something different. I saw that it is in the initial stages of testing for what that's worth.

edit: Princeton university is studying this phenom
