“The league will be good preparations for the tough series,” Cheema said while speaking to
The Express Tribune. “Most of our players will be getting a lot of match practice due to it. That is better than any training camp. We are, however, planning a three-day camp before Eid for conditioning purposes.”
“The available players will attend the camp and will be given anti-corruption and anti-doping lectures. But the plan will be finalised after coach Dav Whatmore’s return from vacations,” he added.
Unable to host teams on home soil, Pakistan are due to host Australia for a series of 3 T20s and 3 ODIs in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 in August/September this year. The matches are scheduled to begin in the evening, in order to avoid the intense summer heat,
with the ODIs due to be played from August 28 to September 3, while the T20Is will be played from September 5 to 10. Pakistan’s squad for the T20I series has already been named, with the ODI squad due to be announced early next month.
The series was originally scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka, but the SLC backed out of the deal owing to the fact that the dates clashed with the inaugural edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League.
The T20 tournament, due to be played from August 11 to 31, features seven franchises, with 112 local players and 56 overseas players due to participate, out of which 13 are Pakistani players – among them http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Umar-Akmal-c94595,

The Pakistan Cricket Board agreed to allow its players to sign for the SLPL as part of a deal which dictates that the SLC will also be sending their players to partake in the proposed Pakistan Premier League. With over half a dozen Pakistani cricketers (who
will be playing in the series against Australia) due to participate in the SLPL, the team management has decided against a training camp, and might instead opt for a brief conditioning camp for available players prior to the Pakistan-Australia series.
